I remember a time when....
...Bungie could actually create a comprehensive stat system for people's profiles, and how that same stat system would be the envy of many other games.
....there would be a good community manager who could actually answer questions even if those questions weren't just the kissing-ass kind.
...they could make a story within their own game that would immerse players within the gameworld itself.
...their game's PvP would actually be balanced.
...their game's reward system wasn't determined entirely by luck.
...you could open up a private match and just be able to take in the map itself.
Yeah, so, what happened to THAT Bungie?

I remember a time when.... ...Bungie could actually create a comprehensive stat system for people's profiles, and how that same stat system would be the envy of many other games. This isn't an arena shooter, and the game was rushed and is missing some UI functionality, which might come later. I agree that the aftergame report is useless, and the medals serve no purpose if we can't even see how we got them/who got them/view the post-game carnage report with as much detail as Halo games. Totally with you on this one. ....there would be a good community manager who could actually answer questions even if those questions weren't just the kissing-ass kind. Really? Did you get your questions answered more actively back then? I think that Bungie is being super responsive. ...they could make a story within their own game that would immerse players within the gameworld itself. I guess you've never played other MMO's then, huh? The story blows goats, it makes no sense, but it obviously isn't Halo. At this rate, we won't be getting Destiny novels or a comprehensive lore to dive into, but the "campaign" functions for replayability and will be expanded upon with DLC. This is crap, but not worth attacking really. ...their game's PvP would actually be balanced. Dude, please, Destiny is VERY balanced, and continues to be balanced almost weekly. No game that will let you start with weapons you earned is going to be 100% perfectly balanced, but they're working on it continuously. ...their game's reward system wasn't determined entirely by luck. What game from Bungie had a reward system? ...you could open up a private match and just be able to take in the map itself. Yeah, that would be cool, but you know that the entire game world is online in Destiny, right? This isn't going to happen. Your concerns aren't constructive, if these forums were filled with positivity and suggestions we would get a lot more done than all the inane whining and negativity.

Knew an idiot would pop in at some point. Just expands the list of people that I have muted.

Don't like it then don't play it. Instead of criticism maybe you could offer suggestions on how they could do something differently that you don't like.

he actually did ;)

There's not really a way to fix the bigger issues he addressed. Biggest issue, lack of an immersive story. The biggest reason is because Bungie was doing Destiny solo, ran out of money, and turned to Activision, which then in turn dumbed down everything.

Edited by Sean: 10/21/2014 8:57:01 PMI do offer constructive criticism, but it doesn't matter with this Bungie. Nothing ever gets addressed (Story, the RNG loot system, lack of content, etc), and it doesn't matter how much people talk about it. The game has potential (only reason why I am still on these forums), but its current state is severely lacking. Haven't played the game in a while either, way too sick of the RNG and other bullshit. Once you escape the Skinner Box, it is hard to go back onto the game to do the same things over and over and over again for no gain whatsover.
