I agree, however you still need RNG to keep the game approachable and keep you excited for the next raid. If you got all your gear in one run, the new recruit in the clan isn't going to be able find a group because it's like, "I already got what I need. " RNG is a harsh mistress but critical to the MMO/RPG experience. It says that you took the time to perfect all the encounters and farm for your gear. Even if the drops were guaranteed the item stats should be a bit randomized, keeping you coming back with the hopes of getting a better version. Back when I played WoW I had my first warglaive before my DST. I swear I killed Grull 50+ times before it dropped. But it allowed me to run the lesser geared players, who really needed a lot from there, through it many times.

Hmm that's quite interesting I see what you mean. Yeah maybe it should just be a possible drop from say only on hardmode, but still item specific per final raid boss (e.g Atheon drops the helmet, Crota drops the boots or something) I'll update my post.
