The vex pre patch was broken in crucible (I had it pre patch) plain and simple. As for xur, he is fine, even though it seems the warlocks get the short end of the stick. Honestly you should have just made one of each class to avoid the random engram drops from happening (not telling you how to play, just saying that this avoids this problem). Otherwise you do make some very good points.
