They really need a trading system of some kind. It will only add to the game and improve the game's life span. I know some of you fear that a player will get stuff with out working for it but that is a minor worry. I worked hard for my stuff and if I want to give an item to a friend I should be free to do so. "O no you're gonna break everything and some noob might get something better then me!" Says the person with no friends! Get over it. I have 3 of the same exotic weapon! I don't need or want the extra 2. "Then dismantle them for stuff." A moron tells me. Yeah that's just what I need, to break down an exotic for more crap I don't need or want! "But people might sell raid gear or exotics on Ebay and some noob will buy it and I don't have any." Boo hoo. One way or another the person getting it had to work for it. Yes even the person spending their money on Ebay to get stuff. Also I'm sure Bungie could limit the number of trades you could do each week to help avoid that. I own this game thanks to selling items from another game! Paid for my copy of the game and the dlc pass plus a copy for my friend. "I don't care cuz the china farmer is going to spam me with offers to sell me stuff and I didn't buy this game to socially interact with people on any level!" Says a random voice in the crowd. Nice. Try not to get to a high level or play the game at all or you're going to start getting raid invites and we all know how that will ruin your gaming experience. Bungie could make it to where you could only trade with friends and that would be good enough for me. "No no no! I'll start getting a bunch of friend requests and I can't deal with that!" some idiot replies. Trust me you could use a few friends!

  • Maybe even something where an exotic can only be traded for an exotic. That way those who actually work to get good gear and are screwed in the the ass by RNG like me can get the gear we want, and then the n00bs are still n00bs

  • You damn right dude. My friends get the best shit in the game multiple times and they can't even trade with me? People don't want me in the hard crota raid because I am unlucky? If my friend could trade me a Gjallarhorn of his collection of 5 or 6 I don't remember, if he could that I think that i would start liking to play this game again. It's just not fun when they get Hawkmoon, Icebreaker, Gjallarhorn and Vex Mythoclast multiple times in a row i just get f*cking shards and energies or what ever. I have some legendary guns that they don't have. If we could trade it would be more fun for all of us. Good post :D

  • WOW people would definitely sell weapons and armor, thanks for another reason why they should never implement the trading system. Yes it takes away from people actually earning it. If people could just buy gear, this game will just be like all those other apps on your phone, whoever has the most money wins. And your idea of limiting trades each week will be your idea to avoid that?? The ONLY thing that will do is increase the price of selling the item, HELLO, supply and demand 101. The Only idea I have and what would be Fair, is being able to trade in the RAID, if one of your teammates get a drop and they already have it. You could trade. Otherwise everything should be locked. I have tons of friends and I still wouldnt want the trading system to be implemented. My friend has 2 Vex Mythoclast in his storage, and how fair would that be if he gives it to a fresh lvl 20, aka my alt. COME ON MAN! Hello

  • You never even thought that bungie might just make it to where you can trade raid armor/weapons and exotics did you?

  • The max level is 32, if you buy your way there you're still gonna get wrecked in the crucible by a level 3. I really dont see how it will ruin the game. I will use a white auto rifle and shit on the vex mythocast. Truthfully I stopped playing destiny for a whole month until the update came out, this was because I was tired of grinding to get stuff I already had or didn't need. If I could trade I would play the game more.

  • um can i just say something, this is a video game to have fun with your freinds and sure it can be cheap to get some items but i find it that selling gear online would be stupid and any one who did it really shouldn't play this game. another point i'd would like to make is that some people do see this as just a game and give stuff away but really what would be the difference if a level 24 tagging along with five other level 30's and getting the vex mythoclast with out even trying. my friend put the idea of being able to trade during the end of a raid and you had to be alive to trade so it would reduce the possibility of a lower level getting advanced guns and really its just a game.

  • Or decrease the drop rate of exotics if you are lower than the recommended activity level. However it would not use your regular light level it would check your vault to see what level you could be if you swapped armor, so I f I go into the raid to level a new piece of armor that makes me go down to 33, I would still have good chances of an exotic.

  • Yea maybe a need/greed option would work in the raid for armor, but thats as far as I would like a "trading" system to go. My buddy and i play together almost every time we're on, i have 2 ghorn and 2 IBs and he doesnt have an IB yet. I would gladly give him one in exchange since my titan has never been graced with the melee king of an auto rifle that is the Monte Carlo. However, Xur brought IB with him this week so he bought 2 with his stockpile of Coins. So if you just wait long enough and sit on those coins, then exotics come your way pretty easily. Here's hoping for all those who have missed out on the Ghorn that Xur brings it soon.

  • trading would not be bad if there were restrictions such as limited value diffrence trading which would mean to get something like mythoclast you would need to offer stuff that would be of equal value or diffuculty to get but this would mean that bungie would have to value all items and/or make some non tradable
