i can agree with the duplication of items of both of those games. but then look at the drop rates of stuff in both of those games and then compare it to destiny, my opinion is that bungie should address the random drop chance of items or implement a trading system so we can deal with the lack of the games luck drops.

  • There just isn't enough deviation in the strongest loot to warrant a trade system OR duplication. There are what, 20 exotic weapons, each with zero differentiation from one another (My Icebreaker is the same as EVERYONE's Icebreaker) In Diablo and Borderlands, EVERY gun was different. That's why a games like that had a market. I mean, the only people I would trade too would be a RL friend just starting out. But as I mentioned earlier, this is doing those players a disservice in Bungie's eyes.

  • For those fagets just come up with a block on duping. MOM's need trade, and -blam!-, a better easier way to talk to each other!

  • easy enough to stop the duplicating. all i want is to get rid of say exotic titan gear for some exotic warlock stuff. Its ridiculous not to have it in a loot based game. Especially with buying those exotic engrams with Motes of light. I just wasted 25 motes of light for some exotic gloves and they ended up being a titan glove. Now if I could trade, I would give it to a friend, but i ended up having to just salvage it. Granted I got 2 ascendant shards, I still would have liked to put it to use with a friend

  • Why though? that happened to me too. my main is a warlock and i got a piece of exotic titan armor, and a legendary. At first i was pissed i didn't get warlock gear but then i just decided to store it, and make a titan. i got my titan to light level 25 in one day because getting to 20 was a cinch after my first character and the light from the legendary and the exotic were enough when coupled with strike equipment to get me there. I would honestly just keep any gear drops you get for other classes. That way when you get bored and want to play a new class, you will have awesome gear right at level 20 =D! have fun!

  • I've got all three and two I don't like the play styles of. I want to supe up the one I like playing with, and not have to conform to another class which I don't like just so I can make use of some gear I don't like for the classes I don't even like. Bungie should address this issue

  • They did. If you really dont like the other classes then you can just SALVAGE the gear.....Its not Bungies fault that you dont want to play other parts of their game.

  • Each class revolves a play style. If I don't enjoy the other play styles I want the game to have an alternative to the one you are proposing for a few reasons. All scraping will do will give me an abundance of stuff I can nothing with.

  • But you didn't earn it, it just happened as a coincidence that what you wanted and the randomness of the game spit it out. Earning implies in this game that by repeated effort you will get the item that is your goal. This is the haze that the "earners" of this game are falling into, it is natural fallacy to walk into when someone gives you the opportunity to get what you want in such an obscure way. people have jumped to wrong conclusions about themselves and the way randomness operates. They dangled hope in your face and you took the bait, and now that you think you earned it you feel entitlement and tell other individuals they must earn it just like you, now more people want to feel like that too all the while not realizing randomness takes in no account of your previous actions or attempts. People who want trade want more control in their game, bungie is not ready to give it yet. Not until they monitor their little nest egg some more

So the solution to getting the most powerful items in the game, is talking to somebody and getting them, and not doing a damn thing to earn them? Yes, I said earn them. Because, despite what you think, when you play this game for a prolonged period of time, the RNG comes up in your favor, and you are fortunate enough to acquire better weapons and gear. The definition of earning something is working to get something back. How is trading earning anything? You pop in a disc, find the local Sell-O-Mart, and buy a Gjallahorn for 2500 Glimmer? Yea that's not broken at all. When I whoop on Atheon, and get rewarded with a Thunderlord, you can't tell me that isn't earning loot.
