How was your first night in the Iron Banner?

Were you detecting an advantage attributed to your more powerful gear and weapons? Did the experience feel different than standard Crucible combat?

UPDATE: I know people quit games when they know they won't win. I'm more curious about your perceptions for how the power-level advantages work. Help me help you. Stay on target!

UK players re frequently unable to detect or damage players from the USA/Europe/Ireland yet are killed easily.Alot of players are also using lagswitch. twice ranked up to rank 5 this week but without enjoying a moment of it. time to find another game.

I don't know, is there a level and gear advantage. Maxed out and still no difference. Oh forgot: 100 Mbps down & 10 Mbps up. 20 ms ping to Internet provider servers. Also added a little piece of evidence and this is all from this run of Iron Banner. Bungie probably will delete this in about 2 hours as they normally do for anything of mine showing visual evidence of problems. I figure you wont delete your own thread though. Happy viewing. The direction of this game makes me wonder if they even have a chance with Destiny 2, I may just skip ship as each day feels like nothing but a choir instead of fun. I am willing to stick it out about one month more though.

Either that or [b]please[/b], tell us what the devs are saying in response to the [b]thousands[/b] of posts in the feedback section that continue to be ignored. Optional making and auto rifle buffs to name a couple. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought your job was to communicate the community's feedback to the devs? You clearly haven't been doing that. Please quit making posts that no one cares about and resign. I mean seriously DeeJ? You're asking about the level advantages when there are so many posts about the horrendous lag in this Iron Banner? [b]Seriously?[/b] I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just giving you some customer feedback. After all, we aren't friends or even fans to Bungie anymore, we're just numbers and profit.

Umm lets see lag, lag and and more lag...... As for power level advantages none that can be seen, a level 29 can survive my point blank shotgun blast but can kill me with their shotgun at point black im 34

My sense is the power curve is on point. As an aside 1. I rarely see an auto in crucible or IB these days - slight adjustment may be in order. I suggest 2.5-3 % at range for low FR high impact AR. high FR low impact AR are fine use a high FR blue AR in crucible to good effect. 2. Not experiencing are material lag

How about buffing auto rifles so everyone isn't only using hand cannons/shot guns in crucible. It's gotten to the point that you really can't use anything else but thorn/TLW to win. Auto Rifles are the only guns that can stand up to the HC close to Mid range. Please listen to the hundreds upon hundreds of posts asking for a auto rifle buffs...

Lag fest. So were the next two days until I'd had enough. Haven't played since Wednesday or Thursday. Can't really comment on the power difference in weapons and levels since most people couldn't be hit anyway.

But, I've gotta say, I think it shocked both of us when a lower level shoulder charged my 34 & I lived through it. My 365 Sword of Crota made sure they didn't try again. EDIT: I can't in good conscience reply to your post without at least mentioning the horrible lag & having my 2 man fire team end up on opposing sides twice in two days. How's that happen?

Iron banner is getting better, trials is a mess though. There's so little content in this game as is, why put out a DLC with a pvp mode only accessible to end game players (that pour way to many hours into this game..)?

What an amazing concept I have a ton of fun and win a bunch of matches playing iron banner! The funny things it's totally RANDOM MATCHMAKING !!!!!! Just like we should have in every thing else! But we don't...... Optional matchmaking works for me and makes me love this game even more! Give us matchmaking in every thing!!!

1 ReplyIt was AWESOME!!! I was doing REALLY GOOD on it! My Highest kill streak (or Rate) is 31 that night, then today, now it's 41 (or 45) kills!! NO JOKE!!! And I got to rank 3 and got etheric light and lv. Up to 34! BEST TWO DAYS EVER!!!!!!

Level advantages should be changed from your character level to level in the Crucible. Higher ranked players would be allowed exotics after a set amount of wins(experience, rank, etc.) Like how Halo had a ranking system (though it was really only meant for bragging rights and skill-matching during matchmaking,) only now you give us 50 levels to work towards, gaining and losing rank depending on wins and match us 10 levels higher or lower with the lower opponent possibly not having access to exotic armor, exotic weapon or just not the ATTACK or DEFENSE Value that the higher level has. With most players striving to be top level no matter what, even if that means wearing armor that doesn't benefit their specifically desired build, just about everyone is high leveled or close enough, with the maxed weapons as well. Ranked matches in the Crucible during the Iron Banner would make sense. It starts over every time the event begins, dropping you back to rank 1 and you must play and climb the ranks through wins to reach the higher tiers and highly skilled players that actually care to rank up so they can play against even more skilled players. [b]Start out with legendaries only, after a certain rank level has been met by the player, he/she may then equip an exotic and be matched against other players higher or lower that may not always have the same privilege due to their lower rank. [u]The higher levels grant the exotic armor, and the use of supers.[/u][/b] Give it a thought and change whatever you see fit but I know I and plenty of others would love this challenging version of Iron Banner. 1 ReplyLvl advantage don't seem to apply. Vex broken not shooting properly and nerfed by latest update. Lag cheaters. Thorn dominating but that's Dev fault, messed up by nerfing auto rifles and fusion rifles. Fix the problem. Stop nerfing guns. At the moment there's only two worthy types of class, hand cannons and pulse rifles, the rest are just unworthy of use in pvp. It's a quick and simple fix, give rifles a 3% increase on impact and remove the last update on the fusion rifles. Don't nerf the thorn or any of the other guns that are dominating, instead bring the other classes up to par with them. Problem solved. Apart from that, to me it's still much better than lag osaris, last mag osaris loool sorry trials of osaris
