Thanks for posting that. When strung together in that form, there is a decent story. Maybe 6-7 out of 10. But the game tries it's very hardest it seems, to conceal and break up this story to where it feels like it doesn't exist at all except in fragmented form.
I hope bungie takes this lesson and focuses more on the story cohesiveness in Destiny 2. I'm just going to assume that the two DLCs are already done with their story structure or it's too late to change anything.

Agreed. On paper the story is still pretty unremarkable, aside from the basic premise which has a lot of potential, but it certainly becomes a lot less awful. I think this gives us cause for optimism, though; there's a foundation there for some better story in future content.
