The loot cave was really a social place. Everyone acted cool around each other.
It felt fun and rewarding.
When the public event happened everyone took part.
You acted as a team. When one guy ran in, you all ran in. Then the first guy would get out and reset his position so the Hive couldn't escape while the others finished their business.
Farmers had a place to go. Strikes were not targeted by AFKs.
Because you'd hit the cave, get bored, and then play the rest of the game.
You would do a Strike and get nothing.
So instead of being frustrated you would hit the Treasure Cave to make up for the time wasted.
The real solution is a FireFight or Survival mode.

But, how would a firefight or survival mode make the strikes more playable?

It would pull the farmers out of it for a more profitable experience.

Strike missions. I'm suggesting that they tweek a game type that already exists. A game type that they want people to play. How about fixing one game type to encourage people to play it, before we add a new game type?
