If the next dlc is not until December do you expect the community to have 1 raid with 4 "encounters" to just sit and wait? There are 7 gear slots and only one tier of raid gear. How is this supposed to hold the interest of a casual gamer let alone a hardcore one? I really hope you guys have some plan for this or destiny will die despite being a very fun game.

To be fair we don't know if more will come out before than. Thing is we haven't got much in terms of information so it leaves it open for interpretation and on the Internet that ends up going the negative route

More of what will come out when? I am not clear on what you are saying. Moe raids? There will obviously be more content of some kind, but to expect one 4 boss raid to hold over people until December is scary.

I'm assuming before the DLC we will receive more content. Or that between DLC there are content releases that flush out the world. Again these are things that time will tell and whether or not more money will be invested by players.

We may see some world events but for them to release another raid outside of a paid dlc would be nearly impossible due to development resources and money. There is no monthly fee to play this like there is for many mmo's and new content costs money to develop. Paid dlc is the only way they could possibly cover the costs to develop another raid so it's either that or they adopt a new model for financing development. Basically we aren't going to see anything outside of events like queens wrath unless we pay for it somehow. What they really need to do is expand loot and the tiers of raiding difficulty. It would not hurt them to borrow a page from wow and have a hard mode only encounter. That would extend the life of current content and future content would become stale more slowly. Borrowing the wow model of strikes/rep gear, matchmaking difficulty raid gear (lfr)/ normal difficulty for teams/clans and finally hard mode for the most progressed and skilled would add a lot of life to a raid tier. Although idk if anything could make a 4 boss raid that was cleared 14 hours after release interesting until December. Groups are doing it now in 35 mins, that not a raid that's clearing trash in any other game.

So I just beat the raid for the first time last night. We had one guy with us who had beat it before, it made it super easy. I got a legendary scout rifle and chest piece for my titan. It was fun... It was not hard, the only time we lost was because the guy with the relic would miss a ground slam or whatever once in awhile in the portal zones and we all got wiped. Otherwise it was just a task to be completed. I may do it again but I am in no hurry to. As far as content between DLC goes, the only thing I can imagine that would save them is if they truly restricted content that shipped with the full game. If so, then they could release, with some patched in tweaks, bits and pieces to the game. All while developing actual new content for the DLC. If the DLC stuff is literally already in the game and they just send us some new voice overs and enable the new areas, and charge us for it well EFF that.. I will sadly depart the Destiny Universe. I do not want to. I enjoy the game thoroughly, but it is like a bag of chips that I love, but I just did not close it well enough, the sh!t's stale and I am gonna throw it away and move on to the next thing. I am hopeful... I really am, I try to look at this as episodic almost. I just have a hard time grinding in such a small game universe. If I can not visit new places, at least add more randomness to the ones that exist. Ohh its the same event at the same time in the same place.... did not see that coming. Hey maybe I will do this same bounty over and over again that is a lot of fun? I know I will run in a circle on mars in the scablands and open up the same chests for an hour all while punching cabals in the ca-balls... OR I could totally jump that huge mars sand dune, ohh wait no there is an invisible ceiling... Am I on mars or in the Dome with ol' Stevie King....
