Blink (Hunter subclass Bladedancer Jump Ability)

I maxed out Gunslinger and now I've almost maxed out Bladedancer. Bladedancer is cool, but I don't like the Blink ability. Blink appears to just be a double jump, but you teleport instead of jump. You don't go any higher or faster. At least not noticeably so. What's the point of it? It's incredibly awkward to use, because I'm blind for a split second. I don't like that. I switched back to double jump almost immediately. Maybe if you could teleport forward while on foot, so you could run up to a phalanx and teleport behind him to get past his shield, then I would use Blink. Or. If you could teleport down while you're in mid air. I feel like Blink should sacrifice height for speed and strategic spatial placement. So you feel like more of a ninja. Dancing through the enemies while being as deadly as a blade. Blink should be the defining skill of a true Bladedancer. Difficult to master, but worth it.

The way the blink ability works is based off of inertia. If you're straffing left, then blink, it will zip your character in a line at the exact moment you activate the ability, to the left. This means if your momentum is facing down (from a jump off of a cliff, for example), blinking will immediately shoot you further down. Likewise, if you are standing still, jump, and then blink, it will zip you further up. All of your desired abilities are somewhat available with the right technique. Practicing with this ability is key, as it functions in a much different way than double jumping, as there is a cool down.
