I agree that it's lopsided making faction gear require crucible marks. not sure how best to correct that, since using both types of marks would be confusing to implement. "oh crap, I forgot to toggle my marks for this purchase!" maybe have a transfer system to spend crucible/vanguard marks in exchange for faction marks? then both types would work

Maybe they could make it since there are two each piece of armour for factions make one cost crucible marks and the other cost vanguard marks.

That could work. I don't know exactly how the system would work (Press A to purchase with Crucible Marks, X to purchase with Vanguard Marks(?)), but it's the overall concept that I would like to see implemented in some fashion.

pretty much. after I buy The Swarm on Tuesday (need 10 more) I can't see me ever spending vanguard marks again, they'll just pile up in my inventory, which makes me wonder why I'd do the vanguard playlists. which I enjoy, but why waste the time when I could grind crucible! bit of an overstatement but that's where it's heading.

Edited by kaara: 9/29/2014 8:08:58 PMif you have spare vanguard marks lying around buy legendary gear then scrap it for ascendant shards.. and factions use the crucible marks coz they sponsor the matches (i think).. it's fine the way it is (FTR i'm more of a pve player aswell so no bias)
