They just need to make the engrams always turn into the color that they are period. It's hard enough to find a purple engram, we don't need to be let down by it turning into a green item.

  • Don't you think the developers might see this as unbalanced? If every decryption is guaranteed, there is the very real chance of making the legendary engrams less likely to drop. I may be wrong, but they might see it as unbalanced. IMO, I agree with you. It would be awesome to be guaranteed every decrypt. Especially the purples which are already hard to find enough as it is. The above is my only concern, I only hope the Dev Team sees it as we do.

  • I feel the purple engrams are already rare enough, I've found 1 in the wild in my whole time playing so far. If Bungie thinks having them always decrypt purple requires even more rarity in finding them then so be it, it's better than having excitement over getting one turn into disappointment.

I'm tired of something that is so rare to drop just being a blue. Or at least bump up the chance, or with his level increasing the chance of it being a purple increases. It at least has a point to him leveling up instead of always just getting two blues that I just instantly disassemble...

  • Or so you would think... But actually psychology tells us that the random or intermittent reward systems are much more powerful motivators and keep us coming back for more. It's that slight chance of a big payout and excitement that keeps us coming back for more.

  • I have decrypted a good 15 to 25 legendary engrams only to give me 2 purple hunter armor (I'm a worlock) the rest were blue or green the RNG sucks

  • Ok so at your most conservative estimate your legendary decrypt rate is at about 8%. That's really not bad. You can either have it this way or only have received those two purples and the rest of the 25 green. They aren't going to increase the percentages and flood the system with the rarist of items else it would defeat the purpose of the loot game.

  • I would much rather have few purple's drop if they where actually be legendary. I just don't get exited anymore when I see them.
