I'm not colorblinded myself and I can see where you're coming from with this topic, but the fact is a majority of the players aren't color blind, so there's little to no reason to tend to your needs.
However I do support the option to fix this.

It's known that 8% of males have the same red/green colour blindness like me. That's not an insignificant number of players. Granted this isn't 51% but what would you think if the radar was removed from 8% of the players at random and you were one of them. It means the enemy know where you are coming from but you wouldn't.

Well now you're just looking at it from a larger scale, you have 8% of all males. What percentage of of that 8% actually play Destiny?

It could be more or less... it's unknown. In fact a LOT of people don't know they have partial colour blindness. I still remember being told I had it back when I was tested at school and argued "But I can see colours!!!". I just failed at seeing the numbers on those dot maps... and saw numbers on some that normally sighted people couldn't. Basically we aren't colour blind but colour SHIFTED. Some greys I see as a lovely blue in fact. I had a washing up bowl I honestly thought was blue and matched my kitchen... but everyone said it was grey. Used to drive me nuts heh. But because I am partially colour blind I have superior night vision.

Night vision sounds badass. I guess when and if Bungie adds this option, you're just going to have to play on hard mode.
