Just how much free content can we expect? Are we going to have to pay even more for a full game?
I keep hearing about how future expansions are going to make Destiny's flaws disappear. It seems common to think that critics' complaints and grievances about this game will be removed whenever the expansions are released. However, it is unfair to say that their reviews are bullshit because the game will get better. That's not how it should be.
I shouldn't be paying an extra $20 or $40 on DLC to make my experience somewhat satisfying. Angry Joe's review (above) sums up many things wrong with the game, but what makes me worried is the possibility of this becoming a trend. Should we, as customers already paying $60 for a game, be made to pay another $30 bucks because publishers decided that excluding content is more profitable?
Destiny has many great things about it but I definitely feel lied to about certain things. Destiny was hyped up to ridiculous levels but that's downright misleading directly from Bungie. I don't need to go into detail about the campaign's shortcomings, you can see Angry Joe as well as others express them better than I am able to with text.
Now, I know that Bungie is planning to release free content, but how much can we really expect?
Before you guys discuss, I'm not attacking Bungie, but if my fears are realized by the doing of either lazy development or greedy ass publishers, then I won't be a fan.
