Having cleared all story related missions and strikes I think it's safe to say Kehrli, Scuic1d3, and I (IceColdEskimo) have seen 95% of the... Well lets call it the "Skeleton" phase of Destiny. The last 5% being the Vault of Glass which will be damn near impossible unless we get at least two more mic'd and geared Guardians in our clan. Everything up to this point was great but it really feels lacking.
The amount of real story is weak and I'd like if they didn't relegate damn near all information to Grimoire Cards. I know nothing about anybody in the Tower. What makes the Speaker such a fancy pants or literally anything about the giant broken disco ball (The Traveler) and how by just being here did it help usher in the Golden Age? When did Humans encounter Exos and did they crap themselves collectively? Or how about the fashion model glow-stick crossbreed, The Awoken? This is just stuff I'd personally like to know.
The variety in mission and patrol types is almost painfully thin from the guys who essentially made shooting games on a console a viable thing. Ghost scans computer, shoot three waves of butt-heads; Shoot butt-heads, pick up stuff; Scan thing; Stand at point for maximum funsies.
That's not to say I think the game is bad. I'm loving it, hell I'm 57 hours in ten days loving it. I just want there to be a bit more to see off the bat with a game as hyped up at this. There are tons of places across the maps that scream "Some stuff is going to go down here... but not yet." Which is a bummer because the marketing hype train sold me on worlds to travel and the game, as is, is only giving me, like, a few city blocks to goof around in.
But I'm going to disappointingly enjoy goofing around until new stuff arrives, how about you guys?

I know exctly what you mean... Even if they implimented a library in the tower you could visit to review your Grimore it would add SO much. I love this game too but it just feels, for lack of a better analogy, barren. What it has is outstanding but we have 3 enemy types that repeat on 5 planets.... All of space and we get 15 enemies... Bungie c'mon
