So, this is the baby. After 9 long months, she's out. Her name is Isabeau Eleanor Walker. She likes to growl at people and stick her tongue on things. She weighed around 7lbs and is around 19" long. She came around 11:30am this morning. What's brutal is that I was only in labor for like two hours and had to go all natural because the anesthesiologist never arrived. I'm a -blam!-ing pro at this baby shit. Here are more pictures if you're all so inclined to look at them: http://imgur.com/gallery/5LoBy
Hooray!
EDIT: You guys have been asking some questions. Let me clarify. The baby is going out for adoption so no, I'm not going to be on diaper duty. It will be an open adoption as well so I'll still be in her life. The adopting couple are very nice and they've been good to me. I can't think of anyone more deserving. The father has not been present for the last parts of the pregnancy. We had a bit of a falling out and separated. He has been invited to come see her, but has not shown up yet. He's a bit scared and nervous. You can't blame him, this shit is cray.

5 RepliesShe's adorable! Though are you absolutely certain you want to put her up for adoption? Not that I have any problem with you doing that, in fact I cannot even begin to express how thankful I am that you chose this over something as stupid as, say, getting an abortion. I'm only asking you this because I have heard of more than a handful of times where the parent(s) put the kid up for adoption and then later changed their mind after the kid had been adopted. I think you can understand the legal troubles that ensue from this. I just want to be sure that you're absolutely certain you're ok with this. Whatever you choose, I'm behind you 100%. Thank you so, so much for bringing her adorable face into this world!
