I have played a Warlock to level 26 now and then upon looking a the prices on vanguard gear realized that I will not be able to get my vanguard helmet for THREE WEEKS. The helmet costs 120 marks, I can make 100 a week. I maxed out my vanguard marks in about 4 hours of game-play after hitting level 20 and when it rest Tuesday i maxed them out again in another 4 hours or so. So based on the fact that the main point of the game after 20 seems to be upgrading your gear, and the fact that legendary engrams are basically useless (6 out of 6 that I have found have not been legendary items) I really have no reason to play the game for the rest of the week.
Now I have gripes about the legendary engrams and the fact that for me lack of matchmaking for the raids basically bars me from it, but my main point is that the limit on how many vanguard marks I can earn in a week needs to be lifted or at least significantly increased.
The way I see it there are three different ways to get the high end gear. First: the engrams but they are so unreliable as to be laughable. Second: the raid, but as previously stated lack of matchmaking makes it inaccessible. Third: good old fashioned hard work (marks) but if I can only work on them one day a week what point is there in even owning the game if I spend the rest of the week playing something else?
