My entire point was that you can't blame bungie for your university not wanting to patch

Not just universities and they requirement to open 10000+ ports is just stupid, just open the entire network and see if it works right? Line me up for legal action.

This isn't just at university's
This isn't just at university's
I understand that but I was a dressing one individuals issue

It seemed like, it's frustrating for everyone right now

Yeah they don't have to patch shit if Bungie has done a better job in making their servers better

You very well can blame Bungie. There was no need to make the game traffic run over torrent ports. This was a stupid decision on Bungies part...

Sorry, and trust me when I say I hate the fact that I have to (being a fan for so many years), but I definitely can here. They made the decision to build the game on a p2p network that is notorious for not working in most firewall settings. They are the ones who's solution is to base a patch off of the the university's (not the actual customers) willingness to install the patch (which still leaves out the people who aren't on campus that are running into the same issue). An action that can seriously hurt them if done wrong. It's a bunch of silly mistakes that have now escalated into a huge mess. I know someone who can play the game won't be able to fully understand the problem (hell, I hope you're enjoying it!), but don't even think for a second this isn't Bungie's fault. I want to like their game. I want to play it. I want to keep being a fan long after this but this whole situation has cost people a lot of money and it needs to be resolved. No matter who caused it.
