It's all about network security on campus. WoW has been around long enough that the makers of hardware firewalls are fairly fimaliar with their destination IP address in the packets that are sent out. Destiney being new is sending unknown destiniation information in the packet layers. If you really want to blame some one, blame the idiots on campus that use torrents and steal as much music and videos as they can. That security is in place to prevent that sort of access. Bungie would essential have to find a away to make the game work like a malware worm to tunnel around the firewall there by openning the university to the threat of hacking and loss of personal information such as your ssn that could then allow your identity to be stollen. You really don't understand the issue at hand. Move off campus and get your own connection and network to manage and theres no problem. On a side note, most network admins will install what ever firmware updates that are needed to their devices, and I'm sure there will be other stuff bundled along with the fix for Bungie, so there's no reason they won't do it.
