Called Microsoft asking for a refund of the digital version of the game and got the same BS, since the game loads and doesn't crash it is fine for their standards, no refund even if it is unplayable. I am with you on that lawsuit idea.

  • Microsoft didn't give you BS, it is not their product, so as long as the game itself is working they have nothing to do with it, it is the Bungie servers that are the problem, and therefor it is Bungie's problem.

  • Well, dont know in your country but here in Mexico the one with the responsibility is the one that gets your money our consumer law is clear on the matter, the product should perform the tasks it is purchased and advertised for and the provider or seller should provide a full refund or working replacement in case those conditions are not met I dont think they can perform a replacement but should provide a refund since the main purpose of this is to play and I cannot play. And to be clear, the box or game description never states that you need a special network equipment vendor in your home, ISP or other part of the connection between you and bungie’s servers, just say you need a broadband connection that as I remember in the US is around 4 Mbps, I exceed that by 196Mbps Up and Down so really I consider that BS since they are just shifting the blame while they buy time and fix it to prevent further returns.

  • I agree. Your relationship is with MS. But the product DOES work. The issue is peoples ISPs / networking kit. Yes Bungie should have sorted this out prior to launch, but its still not really their kit that is causing issues, its network security kit. PR disaster for them though.

  • Oh and sorry, if this is a PR disaster for them they have the worst PR people, on my past experience, companies issue regular progress updates with actual data that some if not all can understand so they can use the forums to explain other less technical users, information never hurts and possibly that will lower the steam from players like me. This should have been prevented, betas are for that, to test and check your products, for them it was just a PR stunt that backfired because of all the hype it created. The numbers they got were not about server usage or load or anything like that, it was just to see how many paying customers they were going to get and to see if it was going to be a great christmas this year or just an average one :)

  • you seem to have anger issues. not entirely sure you've got a good handle on what a beta is for either. your little note was barely readable, are you on medication? problems happen, even after beta tests. get over it.

  • But again, just going to the simple legal matter, it doesn't matter what the issue is, the game fails to deliver what it should do. If you get a car that uses a kind of gas it is not yet invented or a slight variation of the current one and the information on the box is clear that you just need gas not a weird nonsensical kind you will expect your car to work, yes, it will break from time to time I agree, but it should work most of the time. I dont know if it is clear but blaming network equipment suppliers and ISPs is a shame considering they had a beta to fix this issues, even if it is ISP and network equipment fault, the same issue should have been addressed in the time between the beta and release and not wait till they had their money. Also, do you really expect everyone to just say, “Yeah lets change the internet just because bungie says” I know the game is amazing but really?

  • you analogy is childlike. the game works for most people. the fact a particular type of network kit doesn't work (and fixed, ready to apply for owners of said kit ) is not the fault of bungie, assisted to fix by bungie. they aren't "blaming" anyone, its just a fact. honestly, we get it- your panties are in a bunch as you cannot play, its just a game, go outside and breath, or play another game. This juvenile ranting is just that, juvenile. good luck with your day in court. don't forget to take your medication, judges look dimly upon people emoting over them and frothing at the mouth mr legal expert.
