This happened to me for COD Ghosts (every other game worked perfect and it was frustrating to no end), go to the microsoft help center and they have you do weird stuff for a half hour (like pull out the cables in a certain order and count to 30), but it fixed everything for my family. Its the console, not the game :P microsoft apologized for its occasional rejection of games and also notified me that the kinect has some issues, but there was an update not too long ago for that.
And even if the corporates at Bungie in WA overlook this, you've got your fellow guardians on your side ;)
