Sound not working XBox One

My game seems to be doing something odd. Every time I log into the game on the Xbox One, I have no sound at all on the game. If I minimise Destiny and go to the desktop, all those sounds are working, so it's not the console. If I use another app (skype, Messaging, Netflix etc), then return to Destiny, the sound returns and works perfectly, until the next time I log out. Anyone else having this whacky bug? Any way to fix it, apart from launching/closing a second app while Destiny is running.... It's not the end of the world, but it is irritating

This is an Xbox OS issue that occurs with other games as well, but there is a patch fix for it coming. Thanks for reporting, please continue with any other audio issues or feedback!

    • Started a new topic: No Sound

    • Hi I've posted this a few times now lol. Xbox One Sound Fix Ok usually one or not both of these to ways will clear this issue. Quit the game. So hit the Xbox home button. Then press the button with the 3 lines on it. (Option Button) Now click quit game. Now restart the game and the sound should be fine. If that does not work try this. Probably the easiest way, but takes longer. Go to your Xbox hit the power button so that it turns off. Unplug your console. Wait maybe 10 seconds for it to completely discharge then plug it back in and start the game usually this fixes sound issues. The reason I have found why sound issues occur is the simple fact when you turn the xbox off it does not turn all the way off. The xbox simply goes into a sleeping state so when it resumes it does not always run whatever task was being processed perfectly.

    • I am having the same issue. You are not alone. I played for like thirty minutes today hoping it would come back on. Finally went to invite a friend and when I came back in it started working. #nosound

    • Just go back to the dashboard by hitting your home button then re-enter destiny. That usually works for me.

      • Have you tried power cycling the console? Hold down the power button on the console (not the controller) until it turns off, wait 60 seconds, then turn it back on. I haven't had any sound issues in Destiny, but when I've had issues in other games power cycling seems to fix it.

        • This same thing happens to me. Works fine until I log out or turn off my Xbox1, then once I turn it back on there's nothing. Really frustrating....
