Destiny Keeps Disconnecting me from the game *UPDATE!*

I am not sure if this is only me but Destiny for me has constantly been disconnecting from the servers giving me numerous "Disconnected" notices and it is really starting to drain my patients. I have made sure my Internet Connection is working fine so I assume this is just a first day thing? Is this happening to anyone else? UPDATE! I am well aware that a lot of people are having problems on any system, I was trying everything I could such as manually inputting my router information for better connection and other things but essentially nothing worked. I gave up at around 5am in the morning and went to bed and 3 hours later once I woke up I turned it on and it worked perfectly and I am now still playing the game. I honestly do not know how this was resolved as it just seemed to of happen, could it have been Bungie doing something to the servers? Is it just certain internet connections being a bitch? I don't know and sadly I can't help those who are now in the same situation I was in, I am sorry but the only thing I can suggest is be patient and check your connection settings to make sure you have the best connection settings available. I followed this link and it gave me a lot of info and despite it did not help me as much I believe it could still help one of you.   • I am getting Caterpillar every 10 minutes or so periodically today from the moment I logged on - Having looked at it I believe the fault with this is ISP's (Ours is BT Infinity in the UK) Had issues with wireless too today...

    I have been playing Destiny for weeks now and only had issues since yesterday. I can still not get online. I wish Bungie can put their hands up and say, , OK OOPS ! we encountered a problem and we a working on it. Instead people are left with shit advise,.. DO NOT ADJUST your cables .By all means reset your router but more than that " if it worked before " you should not have to do anything and the fault lies with BUNGIE.

    • Same Problem BUNGIE PLEASE FIX THIS. Also i want my gawld dang vehicle maps and 15min games back PRONTO. No one wants to run around for hours when there could be other means of transportation and weaponry.

    • You can fix most of the issues if you use Wired Connection or connect to hotspot. But at the same time you are not the only one with issues probably Over 35% of Destiny can't even get on.

      • also being disconnected from servers every 5 minutes. luckily i only just tried playing and wasn't put through the useless endeavor of switching to a wired connection and checking all my network configs. i have other games to play, although if this isn't fixed soon, or starts happening often, i definitely won't be buying the DLC.

          • Having issues as of the last two days, I must say as a network engineer; this has to be the most frustrating experience i've had with a game to date. I mean Ever. I would say GTA, but i didn't start playing online for a week after it went live. Why is bungie not addressing the masses here, what is the problem, why is the far end dropping so many packets and we cant stay connected. For everyone including bungie that's offering up idiocy about checking my nat, and ensuring ports are forwarded, this would suggest that every other XBOX live enabled game in the world without issues needs to be checked..if you've supported this "it must be your connection" phenomenon; you should be ashamed of yourself. It does NOT stand up to reason. I was one of those people who had no issues from the 9th through the 13th, then on the 14th - 15th 6 minute disconnects, with no error code, no centipede, no hawk - nothing. just a consistent "contacting destiny servers" message, which others were seeing before me, and never got disconnected, and now - boom every few minutes. What is the response from Bungie - I'm only asking because i've not seen any at all...is their app and server teams working on this? What's the update???

            • Anyone else ONLY disconnect when they are on the final boss of a strike or ONLY when they are doing amazingly well in a crucible game? Like seriously... I have done 10 strikes in the past hour and in EVERY single one I disconnect when the boss is at 10-15% hp.... It just leaves me speechless every time I see that random black screen and it returns me to the main menu

                This is really ticking me off. Seriously, you say to use a wired connection (Assuming Ethernet for xBox one) However, it does diddly squat. I IMPORTED a 30 meter Ethernet cable from bloody CHINA to help try and fix this Gosh Damn problem. Guess what happens when I play a Control Mission with a 30 meter Ethernet cable running from my office to my living room. DISCONNECTS EVERY 5 MINUTES. And please don't say I have horrible internet or broadband, CAUSE I DON'T. Please fix this either Activision or Bungie, I honestly don't care, JUST FIX IT PLEASE. Its getting to the point where it is tedious to play and I LOVE the game. I really don't want to get put off by stupid connection from this game. PLEASE FIX IT. I'M BEGGING YOU!!!

              • Have you ever been disconnected from live completely then have your WIRED connection act as if there is no internet? This has happened to me to the point I have to power cycle the 360 or do a network test and sign out, it was worse when I was using a wireless connection because it would keep me offline till I power cycled it every time just to get my connection back.

                • Having issues in nz as well. Open nat, good speeds. Plays fine sometimes, drops out after hammering a boss for ages. Then i go to another game as getting really over it. Doesnt seem fit for the purpose really

                • Also keep getting an error when (in the rare case) the game actually works and I try to start or join a fireteam...it constantly tells me I am unable to join fireteam or it tells my friends the same thing. It tells me to check my NAT (which is open) and my friends to check theirs (all open) it isn't our connection it is the bungie servers. The game is very unstable, all you not having these issues...count your blessings, you are in the minority...seems like most of the people who own the game have experienced these constant and frustrating errors that make the game unplayable...I wish I could get my money back for this garbage.

                  • Yep same problem for myself, my brother and my friend. Two of us share a network connection so we thought maybe it was on our end but it started happening to my friend and a bunch of other people I know. I went into the local game shop here and the clerk told me that it is a constant issue with Bungie and the game itself. Seems like you owe us free content Bungie, this is absurd. I cannot even play the game anymore...the minute I load into a game world and start the mission I get kicked to orbit or kicked to the main menu. My NAT type is Open, I have ZERO connection issues with games like COD, Titan Fall and Battlefield 4...just destiny so it is quite clear this game was never ready for release...let alone a $60 price tag and $30 DLC (which isn't even available so why are you charging for it now?) I can say one thing for certain, I will no longer buy anything from bungie. What a joke.

                  • I keep getting Baboon error, tried playing again and I got other errors, my ps3 has a static IP, the ports have been forwarded, it's a cable connection and not wifi. I have tried and done everything you suggested to do to fix the issues but still I can only play like 5 minutes before being disconnected, this is frustrating beyond belief, please advise Bungie I really want to play this...

                      • Somedays I can play NO PROBLEMS but most days im kicked off every 5-10 minutes ..But i jump on Titanfall, etc and I have NO Lag nothin..I have a fast internet connection yet im always kicked off...this is getting old Bungie.
