So, what did y'all think of my map? Please be open and state any complaints you had; that was a test and I'd like to know what I need to fix. I know some of you were weirded out by the Power Weapon starts and the lack of UNSC vehicles, but I can assure you that was intentional. I wanted an Invasion experience where the Spartans had to be the ones to fight for survival; not the Elites. I wanted them to be the ones who were nerfed to hell.

Well, the Spartans with snipers were pretty OP.... Plus the main area where you capture the core is too open. You need to break up the terrain with rocks or just more barricades, because then the only option is to just "cheat" and take the sidepath and sneak behind. Everything else was fairly well though.

That was the goal. The side paths were for CQC and the bridge was meant for open vehicular combat. Sneaking around isn't cowardice; it's strategy.

My main complaint was that on the sides of the bridge (the flank routes?) there were holes in the floor that you could fall off and die.

Edited by Ktan_Dantaktee: 9/6/2014 4:20:04 PMI noticed that; I will have to fix those in the next update. And they aren't quite flank routes; they're more of an area for CQC, and a way to avoid getting r[u]a[/u]ped by all of the Covenant vehicles.

The first wave of engagements seem to be the most interesting, I like how close the spawn points are to the objectives. The middle 'core' wave is fair enough, but I think the final assault objective should be less easily bottlenecked.

I definitely agree with you there; that first phase was pretty intense. And I wanted to give equal opportunities for both the open vehicular combat and the close-quarters combat. Technically, you can very easily flank the Bomb Site defenders if you go around back; you guys kept going through that funnel-point and getting hacked to bits. I'll probably add a Jetpack loadout to help with that. If I can move some stuff around, I'd like to add more cover to the edges of the bridge.

That was the main issue I had with the map. I ran out of budget and couldn't add any decorations or scenery. Personally, I think the gateway is fine; the bridge however is gray and bland. I gave it a Promethean color theme, but that doesn't show in Invasion. I would love to add some more color to the bridge.
