No, you are incorrect. American is not a language. Americans speak English. "American" is an accent, a vague one at that.
Being bilingual in America is by no means a valid point to this argument. Many people in many countries speak two languages. None of which would be American.
I have studied in the UK, Greece and the American Academy in Cyprus.
I could, however, be wrong. I've been wrong before and I could be wrong again right now. Would you be kind enough to point me in the direction of a course where I could learn "American" as a language?

please look up and check the original comment...he didnt say 'people who speak the language known as american'...he said "I only play with people speaking american". the question under it in that context is asking how many root languages make up the american 'dialect' (probably the closest term to what it actually is as 'amerian' is far more than just an accent).
