what would happen if..
I was level 5, and my friend was level 10. we both want to have a jam on destiny together, how will the world/difficulty scale?
will my friends level bonuses scale down to mine so that he can assist me, or will he just proceed to kill everything on sight,
one bullet per head.

4 RepliesThere is a cap to how much damage you can give and take based on the areas intended, so your friend could be Lvl 20 and he wouldn't one shot the mobs, nor would he be immune to dmg.

My memory on this subject is a little fuzzy but I kind of remember scrapping enemies pretty easily when I joined my mother's(yes my mom lol) game during the beta & she was lower ranked.

In the beta you could choose the difficulty level to some extent on missions. (Not the explore mode). So, for example, you could have it at level 5, the normal difficulty for that mission, but there was also an option for a higher difficulty setting based more around the higher level of your friend. As far as I know it does not automatically scale difficulty in any way.
