Duh obviously the fifth race, are the Reapers from mass effect and inside the traveller is a leviathan running from them. Hive more like the collectors. ;)

The different types of enemies have a theme as well. Cabal- Roman legion (centurion, legionnaire, psion) Vex- fantasy creatures (goblin, hobgoblin, harpie) Hive- medieval times (knight, wizard, acolyte, thrall) Fallen- nautical? (Captain)
