I get certain shades of red and green mixed up.
Have you tried adjusting the contrast or colour on your screen, most screen have these turned way down by default.

It doesn't help me, I have to have my friend set up the TV or else it could look horrible. Lol I remember a long time ago I mixed the white and red rca up and it wasn't until I went to play gears of war, that I saw the difference.

Set it up for what looks good for you. When I turn the colour up on my TV all I really notice is the red starts bleeding, once it gets to that I dial it back until it looks normal to me. Colour temperature helps too set it to warm. Just stuff that helps me that hopefully helps others.
