Option 2. I feel like people don't quite grasp the concept of eternity.

I'd like to think the human mind could adapt. It's the body I'm worried about. Like the man in the Epic of Gilgamesh (I think, can't remember which flood myth). He was promised immortality by eating a flower, but his body never stopped aging.
-
That's a valid point about the body, but I think your mind is the same. As you grow older, your mind ages with your body, but I think outliving everyone you love and not being able to interact with those people while they are alive would be akin to being imprisoned for all eternity.
-
No. As you can't interact with normal beings you don't lose loved ones because you can't love. (You can't love in both meanings of the word)
-
Idk man. People become estranged from/lose the people they love all the time, and cope with it. Depends on the person I guess. And the OP says you can interact with people like you, which is everyone in this thread that chose option one, so we could start a kickass community of immortals.
-
You can start a community. Yes. But it would be much. As the beings I described you have no emotion and very little feeling. Conversation would be.......interesting to say the least
-
Interesting.
-
Well it wouldn't be a kickass community as you said.
-
I don't think you can say that with much veracity. One man's nightmare is another man's wet dream.
-
But in many cases one mans nightmare is another mans nightmare
-
I see your point, for sure. This may be one of those "agree to disagree" moments, though. I also have an extreme phobia that I might find out some day that I can't die, so I might be a smidge biased on this. And don't get me wrong, I love the Flood. Everyone here is awesome. But spending eternity with them? *shudders*
-
Lmao, yeah. Imagine John Cena meatspinning for eternity...
-
Yep.....to many people think its a good thing. I wish there was a short way to explain how it works hell on ur mind and sanity.

^Agreed
