Destiny's graphics are a little more sophisticated than Minecraft's.

They can be lowered. So what. Halo 5 is open world at 1080p 60fps and it has splitscreen.

Edited by PrattleSnakeVenm: 9/7/2014 1:43:40 AMIn regard to lowering the graphics for split-screen users consider that the entire reason PS3 and PS4 users (and XB360 and XBone users) can't play together is because the graphics are more powerful on next-gen consoles. The enhanced graphical power of these system results in long draw distance (i.e. you can see things from farther away) while they have decided is an unfair advantage. In other words, they are not willing to have players running at different graphics levels. If you're proposing everyone's graphics should be lowered so that slit-screen can happen gtfo.

I'm saying graphics are reduced when people are in splitscreen mode.
-
Dude. Bungie said nothing about adding splitscreen will decrease ALL graphics.
-
Also, just because bungie didn't say they couldn't do it doesn't mean they could.

Halo 5 isn't even out yet. Anyway the problem, I think, is that your Guardian is stored completely on their servers. So the console would have to be connected to two guardians at the same time. So everything each guardian has, their level, their stats, loot drops and who else knows. That's my best guess as to why it couldn't be done. Maybe they're working on it but don't want to have to delay the game to add one feature.

It can come in a patch. And consoles can be connecting to multiple accounts at once.
-
That's what I mean, maybe they couldn't get it done in time, or decided to put their resources into getting other things done.
-
At that point it's speculation.
-
Your entire last edit was speculation!

They would have said so if it was true. Their explanation was "we don't want to do it because we know what you want"
