Load times on b.net are getting ridiculous.
I know its not my browser or the computer I'm on either.
This site is freezing my entire computer every time I push a button.
Load times take a good solid 15-20sec.
New Topic button works only half the time.
I realize b.new is a work in progress, but feel like this is getting bad.
The site is basically becoming unusable for me.

The new topic button may have a bug. Try going to trending threads before trying to make a new topic.

Unfortunately, it's not your fault. This site is currently a bit bloated. That said, it shouldn't take more than 3-5 seconds, max. Try resetting your router and modem manually (unplug, wait 15 seconds, then plug back in). Apart from that, you'll probably just have to wait for the next site update. I'm sure the webteam is hard at work.
