Developers don't really look at Fanfiction and stuff because of legal reasons. Sorry to burst your bubble. Aside from that, they are seriously awesome. (The one on the right looks like a quarian though) What did you use to make them?

  • Daaw... Yep, I too got a slight quarian feel when designing the female. That whole exotic, mysterious vibe i guess. Painted the whole thing in photoshop. Had an urge. Definitely Destiny-sparked, looking back :P

  • How did you make them, what did you use to get that level of precision?

  • If by precision you mean the crisp edges and strokes, let me tell you that they're not all that crisp when zoomed in ;) I actually used quite a rough brush for the majority. However, a large resolution document helps a alot. Some areas are also left quite sketchy, but since the main focus points are more finished and detailed the mind sort of fills in the blurs in a great way. If you meant the overall artistic precision - then let me first of all thank you for the compliment - and the answer is practise. Practise, practise, practise. Sad but true. Did I get your question right, if not feel free to elaborate :)

  • I've tried using paints and stuff before (including a drawing pad thing for photoshop) and can never get anything to look half decent, but I can get some really good detail with pencils. I don't know what it is I'm not doing.

  • Yes, a tablet is definitely a must for painting digitally. The intention is of course to use the tablet as if it were a normal piece of paper, but in my experience the tablet can be hard to get used to., since the thing you're drawing doesn't appear on the tablet itself, but on the separate display of your computer. This coordination can be tough to master - i struggled myself - but with practise it becomes second nature. And it's well worth it.
