Explanation : like in DCUO when you find a piece of equipment its cosmetic look and shape become binded to you even if you get a new piece of armor. I know that your character is supposed to showcase your new stuff, but for example the hunters starting helmet looked better to me then all the others i saw in the beta, but due to Def and skills i couldnt afford to keep that look forever.
Tl;dr get armor, the cosmetic aspect of it stays with you if you want

seems like the general consensus is this would be a positive thing to add and im not alone in my want. to those that oppose it please give a more detailed reason other than "how about no."

I like this a lot

I REALLY like the idea of this and have also wanted it, because what happens when everyone gets the most powerful in-game armour? Then what? Everyone of that class will look the same.

Tl;dr hi

I've asked for this countless times....its what WOW, SWTOR, and a lot of other games have done to allow players to make their characters truly their own; I back is as personally I like the "rawness" of the entry level gear in most games and the lower tiers than the super exotic weird shit they put in the final raids.....the best example of this is WoW bloodfang t2 vs Slayer t6.....it basically speaks for itself. I would totally like to do this in destiny.

The best rifle skin I saw is the first auto rifle. It looked like a M4 and if I could keep that rifle I would.

I would usually agree with this but because of a mechanic in this game I don't. You can equip one exotic piece of gear. By people looking at you and not inspecting you they can get an idea what role you will help with the group. Just another view of this.

I agree and mentioned this in another thread. This is one of the best thing about DCUO. In other RPG's or MMO's everyone starts to look the same once they are all wearing the best armour. With a feature like this, it ensures you look how you want, you can have the stats you've acquired and less likely of everyone looking like they are in the same armour

How about not.
