Your question has a gross miscalculation. Humans are always under the influence of outside forces our entire lives. We were shaped by these forces. Then to ask us to try and imagine ourselves without those forces acting upon us to make a life altering decision is just... leading. You are leading the question.
No valuable insight can be gained from this, only self uplifting ignorance and determinative viewpoints.
English
-
Do you consider yourself straight or gay? Or something else?
-
Does that affect anything at all? It gives a label with which others may judge. It's just as bad as asking are you black, white, latin, etc. It serves no purpose.
-
It is plain to see when one is white, black, latin, etc. It is not plain to see ones sexual orientation, usually. So, yes, it does.
-
How does it matter? There is no reason
-
Yes it does. How can one attract a potential mate if their orientation is not even known?
-
So it must be announced to everyone? No, it should just remain as part of the dating process.
-
People can announce their orientations as much or as little as they wish. It doesn't have to be announced all the time, that's insane, unless they wish it to be. Dating can't occur without orientation being known.
-
It's just another way to judge people.
-
Only if you view it as a negative aspect. Why? Do you judge people who are gay?
-
*facepalm* just... wow...
