Being a gamer in Australia most of the time sucks. Crapy laws, late releases and the list goes on. But having the bungee servers going live 1 min past 12 on the 9th is awesome. That's 14 hours before you US.

-
False. The servers won't open till PDT.
-

Edited by ShadowHawky: 8/30/2014 11:35:51 AMAnyone will be able to play Destiny as long as they have the game in their hands as soon as it becomes September 9th anywhere in the world.
-
Just because of that title here goes: I hope for you, the speculation is true, otherwise this attempt at gloating will be an epic fail. If it is true, enjoy your moment, we will all be there soon

First to try first to die

Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie

That is pretty lucky yeah. Unless they do decide that they'll push the servers on at their time anyway. But then you'd still have the advantage, since you'd need to get the game first anyway (unless you go digital)
-
Can't fault you for it to be honest. You guys do have a tough time when it comes to gaming so its about time something went in your favour. Not sure how far ahead you are of the uk but I can't say I mind.
-
lol, oh god an Aussie troll, the cancer has gone global
-
North America cant complain too much as they usually get games 3 days before the rest of the world for the majority of new titles.
-
I love the fact you think we care.
-
+1 for huntsman spiders. I used to have an aussie gamer buddy back in the D2 days, and he always complained they didn't get every game either. I think with the things you have listed.. go ahead, have this one.
-
Don't the servers launch at 12:00 PDT either way? So, if that's true, wouldn't that render your whole OP completely. Going a Sydney basic conversion to PDT, the servers would only be truly available to you come around 5PM Sydney time? I mean, what's the point of bragging if you have no proof to back your claim?
-
I feel like people are missing the point I was making...people keep saying we are getting it early? We are not getting it early we are getting it at midnight. My point was the servers will be up for us.
-
Edited by xBeyond Beliefx: 8/30/2014 4:41:36 AMIsn't the official release time 12:01am PST? I don't think it is 12:01am in general for places all over the world but I could be wrong. Wasn't there an earlier thread with people stating they wouldn't be able to play until 3am which I guess is referring to the east coast of North America?
-
That's cool, happy for you, congratulations & enjoy : ) See you star side fellow Guardian.
-
The last time I was jealous of Australia was 5 years ago when Halo Wars released. They got the game about 2 weeks ahead of us! >=(
-
I don't get back from my holiday until the 16th, and even then I can't play the game until the 17th. Most of you will play it before me.
-
I also hear that your game is much more high priced though. Last I checked, 60 USD is around 64 and some change. Yet I saw an Australian gamer complaining it was along the lines of $100 over there. Think I'll wait 14 hours as opposed to paying in extra $40. ;)
-
Ha, jokes on you. I am building a time machine and will soon be traveling to the early morning hours of Sep 9th all I need is a flux capacitor.

I spent a good 20 minutes atleast reading these comments. I'm bored and have nothing better to do. The time zone thing literally goes back and forth back and forth. Let's just assume no one knows how it's really working.
