SAO provoked a lot of thoughts when I watched it.
Truthfully I think its story isn't too far from what & how people trapped there might act like & do. And story wise, I thought the game maker rendering everyone like they actually are in the real word was a brilliant stroke of writing.

Pumped for destiny! If u watch the bungie documentary some of their inspiration comes from anime so it's not uncommon to see some similarities in themes. Yea Sao reminded me of .hack//sign which was really good. Anyone else watch these other not main stream awesome animes, please add to the list (leaving out the obvious: naruto, bleach, fairy tail , attack on Titan ) Black lagoon Blood + Magi Moribito: guardian of the spirt rwby Guilty crown Kk Ghost in a shell (poster in bungie documentary ) Samurai 7 Freezing Haji me no ippo Samurai champloo

Damn lol impressive
-
Damn straight. ^_^
-
I recommend "Log Horizon" as I feel it demonstrates a society trapped in a game world even more. Only thing it lacks is death being real, but it puts a different twist on it that causes conflict with the npc people.

I'm watching that now. Episode 8

Edited by AssassinMan53: 9/1/2014 3:13:30 AMThat was a good anime I can't wait for the next season. ^_^

It was one of those rides ya never wanted to end...
-
That's... Kinda messed up for the characters, don't you think? lol
-
And then..... It did but hey season 2 is out and there's more episodes coming out everybweek
-
Too True. Gotta wait for 'em to hit Netflix or Nwanime.
-
Go to crunchyroll.com it's the best anime streaming website you can find the episodes there of course only in subtitles
-
Cant do anime in subtitles...stuff moves too fast lol. I can do foregin life action films, love em, but anime...find myself darting between the words and scene too much.
-
I like subtitles makes it easier to listen to the characters voices since a lot of the time dubs butcher them but to each their own. The SAO dubs are not bad but Kiritos voice sometimes sounds just a little too much like a child for me

Edited by ZERO XVII 17: 8/31/2014 7:33:12 AMSame here. Everybody always asks why I watch the dubbed versions instead of the subbed and I just don't see the difference between watching the subbed vs reading the manga (other than fight scenes of course). For dubbed anime I use watchcartoononline.com and justdubs.tv. They seem to get the earliest stuff.
