The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule.  Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding.  Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter. The more you know. No offense to you by any means OP but I have read the Quran, Koran, whatever. It does indeed state these things. While the Old Testament of Christianity states 'An Eye for an Eye..' it was changed once the New Testament began, there was new laws. I do not believe your book has such a change in it. So while you might not follow such teachings, you cannot blame anyone for assuming these types of things.
