From what I've heard, blink has a cool down timer after it's used so it can't just be spammed all the time

Watch the discussion trailer, the third video to the right after immediately opening the app, after he flashes all three armours around the end of the video you see a hunter spamming the teleport button.
-
I think that is the super, not blink. He is not teleporting he is jumping enemy to enemy. The super is made to be a group killer like Nova Bomb and Fists of Havoc but uses close range melee combos to do it.

In the multiplayer (I believe) video, it shows blink being used twice very rapidly.

It was the 2014 E3 gameplay experience trailer from IGN (on youtube) @ 05:41 you can see what appears to be a blink from the ground up to a ledge and again from the ledge to... wherever.
-
I was referring to the video the person was specifically talking about. They were calling it blink when it obviously wasn't.

Edited by Night Owl: 8/30/2014 11:28:54 AMI understand what you're talking about and I believe you are correct. I'm just responding to the replies stating that blink has a cooldown. I've seen footage that may contradict this, though I can't be certain. I'm keeping my fingers crossed as my warlock was mighty squishy in PVP. I was so bad, I'll take whatever advantage I can get!

If you looked through the talent trees back when our characters were on here still, it specifically said in the description that there was a cooldown for Blink. I don't have a picture, but trust me. I pretty much haven't been off here since the beta and I can't stop reading and thinking about Destiny... I need help.

You can go online and still look at the skill trees
-
It doesn't have a cool down
-
There was no mention of a cooldown on the Warlocks skill tree. I don't recall the hunters as clearly.
-
Yes there was.

Focused Control: Upgrades Glide for better directional control while in mid-air. Focused Burst: Upgrades Glide to provide an initial burst of speed. Blink: A short distance teleport that replaces Glide. I wrote them down directly from the app when deciding on my final build.

Trust me when I say, there will be a cool down. It has been mentioned a few times. You will be able to use blink twice, just like a double jump or lift, then have (pulling this number out of my ass) 25-30 sec cool down. Maybe 45 sec.

Mentioned where?
-
Edited by Night Owl: 8/30/2014 5:18:50 PMI believe that it may, I just don't know where everyone is getting this information. I recall it being speculated on these forums during the beta and all of a sudden it was taken as fact. Yet nothing from Bungie (that I've seen) has made mention of this. I've been looking for confirmation everywhere but there is nothing I can find other than the Hunter's Blink Strike ability. Edit: Finally found a reference to blinks recharge in the grimoire cards. I have to admit I'm disappointed. I was looking forward to playing around with that.

This may help.

Yeah I don't know what to think until I actually test it myself.
