um, no thats not true in the slightest. Your faith becomes believable when you learn to love. People dont need more reasons to hate Christians. The Bible says that "God so loved the world..." not just Christians. Besides, looking at people who arent Christians as different is slandering and trampling the cross of Jesus. We are all people stuck in our own selfishness, thats why we mess up. And to anyone on here who is not a follower of Jesus, i sincerely apologize for the actions of anyone who has wronged you in the name of "Christianity." These people are not followers of Jesus. People are people. I do right and wrong (even if i dont want to do wrong). Lets just try to remember that :) -TJ

They dont show to anyone but yourself. Speaking it aloud to people (who arent believers) on a forum only has the potential to hurt that cause. Also, Christians use that passage as a cop out for being elitists and separating themselves as something greater than those who arent believers. If i genuinely show love to someone (unadulterated and selfless...which is love to begin with) and then they persecute me, that would be a correct reference to that scripture. Saying things like your first reply are unnecessarily offensive and bring on the type of attitudes that we have seen here, even if some of them are unwarranted. Lets not feed the flame, here. Jesus came to save, not to rub salvation in peoples faces. Thanks for keeping an open mind :)
