I do remember that the first thing I thought of when I saw the traveler, was of a terraforming module.. but for what..? I do like the theory of the hive being fallen, and I assume we'll see more hive zombie types.. perhaps we'll even see hive infested guardians...

You make an interesting point when you say that the hive might infect guardians but I think that we have already seen this. Eris. She has 3 eyes much like the fallen Knights and appears to be bleeding continuisly. When she says everything has been taken from me he also might be referring to her body. The hive might have infected her in some way.

It would be interesting to see future aesthetic adaptations like these as customizable options in future installments... hive afflictions like eris, vex cybernetic implants, guardians infused with fallen ether, or cabal armor additions...
