We haven't seen everything yet, if we go off descriptions and assume they do exactly what they say...
Keyhole+combustion could potentially be the answer if you can hit even 2 enemies with 1 GG shot, and both of them explode... Depending how much dmg the explosions do, could be devastating.
Another thing is the hunter gunslinger is only class with perks that buff the weapon with chain of woe and gunslingers trance, so utilizing these buffs in a wpn build would be key
The weakness is the grenade, hands down, other than that it's pretty solid and balanced in pvp and pve.

Edited by DarkSaint05: 8/26/2014 4:46:16 PMThe grenades are for map control. Weak as they are, they are not effective in offensive situations. But, as a sniper or scout player, you can change where enemies will run. Such as a trip mine grenade in a door way to prevent enemies from coming up behind you. Or, Swarm grenade to block passages. Though the damage is week, enemies won't try to cross them. Unfortunately, you could do the same thing with Vortex Grenade... and be better off. Personally, I see the Hunter Gun Slinger as a support role. I know it doesn't make sense when you say it like that, but hear me out. Break down the sub classes into their base traits. Gunslinger / Striker / Void Walker Support / Attack / Attack Next look at their second sub class Blade Dancer / Defender / Sun Singer Attack / Support / Support So what makes Gun Slinger a Support? His gun! He is that extra gun you need for to cover your ass. Think of it like an MMO. You have Sword, Shield, and magic as both support, and Attack So, we say the Defender is shield, the Sun Singer is Magic.... The Gun Slinger is Sword... As he is the only Character with Weapon buffs, and the speed to get around the map quickly. He can be the one to save your ass, or be fast enough to resurrect you, and get out quickly. Same can be said on the attack side Hunter as a Blade Dancer = Sword Titan as Striker = Shield Warlock as a Void Walker = Still Magic This realization blows my mind btw

I understand what you are saying, you have to take the MMO aspects with a grain of salt however , because in all of those you HAVE to have X amount DPS X amount tank and X amount Healers, in through you could run VoG with 6 sunsingers

if you could beat Vault of Glass with 6 of the same class whether it be sunslingers or any other class that that class is ether way to OP or the vault of glass isnt as strong as its said to be. from what it sounds like you are going to need versitility not 6 of the same class or even 2 you will need x amount of support guys x amount of tanks/crowd control. i see every character as a dps guy because we all have guns and we could all have similar or the same guns damage isnt differant just abilitys. so if a bladedancer can dart in and out of battle with out dieing and can get the A.I attention he is just as good or better then a defender titan in one spot. it will depend on play style and skill. my stratagy will probaly ill be defender 2 other friends will be warlocks 2 snipers in the back and a versitale slot of a guy that can be the jack of all trades bouncing between the front lines and back support or provide extra cover when a teammate falls down

I wasn't saying it's a good idea, I was saying you could theoretically run with 6 of same class. In mmorpgs you HAVE to have X amount of each role.

I really am curious about what will be required to run VoG. I would not recommend 6 of any class though. I see one of each sub class being the most effective. Striker, and Blade Dancer as your go to damage dealers. Striker has the armor, and Blade Dancer has the speed. Then a Defender and Gun Slinger to back them up. Defender dropping the shield for cover, and the Gun Slinger picking off the odd ends so you don't get over welmed. Plus his triple jump to get into a nice perch nest to provide tactical support in most cases. And the Void Walker with Sun Singer for Magic Support. Sun Singer to keep grenades and Suppers going, while Void Walker control the map. More on map control then enemy killing only because of the lack of armor and speed. Of coarse if an opportunity presents it self, nothing wrong with a powerful nova bomb to decimate the field.
