Listen, I love Halo. Master Chief is probably my favorite video game character. I love Halo's story. But it really annoys me when people compare Destiny to Halo. Yes, Destiny is a futuristic FPS, but destiny is an open world online game. My friends still say it'll be just like halo, but personally I think it will be a futuristic open world, MMO type game. I have faith Destiny will be a new, original, fun experience, with nostalgia as well. Destiny will be a new and innovative game but with a somewhat familiar feel. Tell me in the comments if you've had similar experiences with friends saying Destiny is like Halo, or if you disagree with me. Thanks Guardians!
I played halo all my life and every one of them, I hope for halo 5 to make a comeback into mlg and become competitive again like it used to be. But after playing destiny beta it didn't feel like halo but a similarity which I think people over exqgerate about. Is the kill times, I feel many are used to fast kill times like cod, bf, titanfall ect. For the most part the fps for consoles that was on top for sci fi shooter was halo. Halo has a longer kill time then most other fps games. Destiny was faster kill time then halo but I felt slower then most. Which made it feel similar to halo. I think this is how it felt a bit similar to me. Other than that very, very different games. I like the longer kill times then cod and shorter then halo to have somewhat of a balance between skill and speed of game play. It was a great move by bungie imo.
