Private Matches =/= Custom Options. The poll has no significance. I don't see how the poll you posted shows any proof that people want custom options. It clearly asks "should destiny have private lobbies?" And answers are yes, no, idc. Where does this poll mention all the shit you listed. You are assuming that everyone who voted for private lobbies also want custom options. From what I've seen, people want private lobbies for clan games and 1v1s, training, etc. I'm not saying there is no one that wants custom options just that you basically piggy backed a poll that may or may not be relevant to your topic just to try and gain reputability.

1 - My original topic was the first to report the lack of custom games in Destiny. The reputability of his poll came from my thread. I can feed on his poll and my original thread all I want. 2 - You'd have to be an idiot to not want custom options with your private matches. That's like saying I'd rather have a car that just drives versus a car with radio, speaker system, seat warmers and all those goodies.

  • I know you put a lot of thought into this, and at some point, there may be this level of flexibility in custom options, but that sort of debug-build level of control is likely a good ways off. I am confident that private games are in the near future, though. I would imagine that Bungie wants Destiny to establish a firm presence and character before handing the reins over to us with regards to private match minutiae. I would recommend that if you want this thread taken seriously, you stop the personal attacks on anyone who doesn't share your opinion. Nobody is an idiot simply for not being you, and calling someone "autistic" as an insult is exceedingly tasteless and offensive, not to mention people with Asperger's (a form of autism) can be astronomically intelligent, just bad at social situations. Also your car analogy isn't very good. If I wanted my car to race, I would indeed take out all that stuff, so I could lower my weight and increase the horsepower going to my wheels (this is why serious racers don't have air conditioning). Good thoughts, but if you want to be taken seriously, you'll have to start playing nice and acting like a professional.

For one I'm not arguing their opinion, I'm arguing what they permiss as fact or think is right which is blatantly wrong. There are reasons I can say something is stupid and be justified. That's what these kids throw at me. It's honestly hard to not call some of these responses stupid. Okay fine, you don't want a car with a seat warmer. Better analogy: You want a jolly rancher versus a bag of jolly ranchers. (inb4"But I don't like jolly ranchers")

  • All of that, right there. As long as you respond like that, you'd be surprised at how many people will support your case. A lot of the negativity stems from the personal stuff. Without that to rail against, all they're left with is a rational argument, and then they do more than enough to make themselves look stupid without any help at all. Also, I do like jolly ranchers, they're one of the precious few things we were allowed to have in the engine room.

  • Meh, tbh I don't think I can help myself from all of these types of people. It's too difficult.
