Atheists say that Atheism isn't a religion because it doesn't have a God/Goddess or gods/goddesses to worship. You don't need them to worship something, you just need something or someone(persons) to worship.
It's pretty obvious that Atheists worship Charles Darwin because of his paving the way of 'proving' evolution. Atheists also worship other famous theorists and scientists that try to disprove God's existence and/or prove evolution.
So yes, Atheism is a religion.

Edited by Bistromathics: 8/19/2014 9:41:14 PMWhile I get that this is a troll thread, there's no requirement that an atheist must accept evolution or a bunch of other things that seem to get lumped together with atheism: climate change, LGBT rights, etc. There's also no requirement that an atheist has to know or care about science* or any of the pop scientists that are around today. *Not that [url=http://www.reddit.com/r/atheism]atheist communities on the internet[/url] care about actual science that much; it's usually just a picture of Carl Sagan with a background of space and a quote he never said. This entire idolatry of Sagan, Tyson, Nye, etc. is so embarrassing.
