Wow this thread is something. Yes, it will be there on launch. Digital pre-order for Xbox doesn't go into effect until after is Destiny is out. The system isn't in place yet. Still worried it will not be there? Call of Duty Ghosts has 2 editions on the Xbox One market place. The regular and the Digital Hardened Edition. You couldn't pre-order that and it's there. Activision is the publisher on both titles, you'll be fine. I'm buying it as well on the Xbox One. Time to put the tin foil hat away.

  • Activision isn't going to lose out on money. They are going to put it in the store. If it was a Sony exclusive it would be shouted down the halls for days. Publishing is weird with deals and such with companies.

is it Xbox's policy to say Nothing about their Digital Games. So much nothing, that they have only advertised physical copies. ...either microsoft is super weak kneed and doesnt want to take sales away from Retailers by advertising Digital Copies. or maybe not making special digital editions available. idk. Id still like an more definite answer.

  • No, it's not Microsoft's game to decide how it's sold. It's up to the publisher to decide on how the game is published. Nothing about this has to do with Microsoft. They are just the platform it's played on. Your answers are with Activation. Microsoft just announced digital pre-orders and pre-downloading to start with Forza and FIFA but it's up to the publisher if they want to make that game available in that fashion.
In response to customer feedback, Xbox also announced the ability to pre-order and pre-download games on Xbox One. Fans will be able to pre-order and pre-download “Forza Horizon 2” prior to its official release on Sept. 30 – this will also be available for “FIFA 15,” with more titles to come. Pre-order and pre-download gives gamers additional options for where they can purchase game content and the ability to purchase in their preferred format. This also enables the title to download ahead of availability, so gamers can begin playing immediately upon the release of the game.
http://news.xbox.com/2014/08/gamescom-xbox-one-gamescom-press-release
