1. Halo 3 2. Halo 3 3... You're basically saying everything that worked so well for Bungie in the halo series and kept it going so strong online for so long will now fail with Destiny. In my opinion, such a misinformed statement. Its not about nerfing or whatever else they could modify about the game mechanics in multiplayer across all playlists, its about making playlists the are suited for all the different wishes of sub categories of players. Competitive players want a competitive ruleset with the most balanced maps and a more balanced skill based weapons restriction. The masses want the whole rounded online experience with max customisation etc, and most importantly to have fun, which is a shared wish amongst all types of players. Competitive players want this because they are COMPETITIVE. It's fairly simple, alike players want to play with each other as they enjoy the same kind of experience. It's not compulsory, and anyway, having lots of different variations of playlists, like on Halo, it, will only provide what the masses want anyway. Custom Private Lobbies are a no brainer for me, it makes no difference to anybody, as you have no idea what people are doing in them for you to care. Simple. And finally, as for the server claims. Thats a ridiculous statement. Its worked with other bungie games, why not with this one? They would just need to put a player limit on the private lobbies.

Another thing what is the purpose of a private match if no one can hit you during quest? Whats the purpose of it? I am pretty sure there close to completeing the game already, if they were to add new things like a private match, or private chats into the game they will have to go back to step 1 and run more tests which is going to be more time consuming then end up having to do more patches then before to get the game up to date. And reason why I say they [b]MAY NOT[/b] add private matches is due to it being empty and the chances of bosses dropping in, it being empty and that they would have to take more time to go back to step 1 and see put things in and test it. This discussion can go back and forth, both sides can bring up great reasons why it should be put in and why it should not be put in so either way no matter how your gonna look at it both sides are right and wrong. Regardless of what we talk about here will not effect the team of Destiny who is working on the game.

They have a dedicated team that only deals with the multiplayer part.

Well now its down to the backbone the only thing that will prove either of us wrong is whether they come out with private matches in the final release and f.y.i. i was talking about private matches for pvp maps

I know what you were talking about. Chances are they might not release it on the release of the game itself, it may be released a few weeks or months after the game itself.
