Was a lot of lag during the beta, keep that in mind. Knives didn't only do that but so did bullets.

I noticed bullets doing it as well but it wasn't necessarily in the same fashion... bullets such as say a sniper, would often connect directly with the players head but the player would stay alive for several seconds before dieing....whereas these knives are specifically missing their target and then connecting moments later showing less latency and more of a gaming mechanic...though if its intentional it really doesn't bother me...
