Why was this even a problem in the first place? Atheists like to
b^tch
6 RepliesI think it's pathetic that people had a problem with a little book in their room to begin with. Why don't they grow up? If it's keeping you awake at night then your probs possessed and need help anyway. Lol

2 RepliesAtheists in the military tend to screw things up quite a bit. I mean look at this! Shocking and disturbing, right?

1 ReplyEdited by U6757109: 2/6/2015 3:03:57 PMA couple things. First, if you're going to endorse a single holy book, then you're going to have to endorse all of them. So will the Navy try to cram all 53 holy books in the lodges/guest rooms? Not likely. Seeing as how these Bibles are donations... well that's fine. But you'd better include ALL donations. So stack up all the Bibles, Qurans, Torahs, Vedas, Upanishads, etc. that were donated, not just the Bibles.

I've been in the navy for 4 years now, I've seen many men and women who claim no god start claiming one when shit gets real.

10 RepliesEdited by Gatsby: 8/16/2014 5:20:06 PMThat's retarded. Why would a navy seal want to read fiction?? Surely they're a grown adult and should be reading books based on real events.

3 Repliesi demand copies of 50 shades of grey in every hotel room as per my religious beliefs
-
This was an issue? You're in the navy...and a book bothers you? Well I guess we let anyone into the navy nowadays.
-
2 RepliesBibles were banned? Even as an Atheist that is stupid. You are not being forced to use it, there was no reason to remove them in the first place.
-
Here's a new thought for you. If they fully believe in what the bible says they wouldn't be in the navy any way. So yeah.. There's that.

Why is this even a discussion? Is this important at all? Why do people conclude that atheists are some sort of organized cult?

8 RepliesIf your going to put a bible in rooms, then you should also include the Torah, and Koran
-
13 RepliesAtheists hate religion because... I don't even know.
-
1 Reply
there is nothing wrong with allowing religious literature to be placed in these rooms
In that case, bring on the donations of the Quran, Torah, Vedas etc. It's not like you can say no, otherwise you would simply be discriminating against those religions. Go ahead. The moment you turn down one of those you're being discriminatory plain and simple.
“We must be alert to what the secularists are doing inside the military,”
I bet those evil satanist secularist atheists are planning genocide of religious people as we speak!
people like these veterans rose up and said enough is enough
It's high time the largest religion on the planet stood up against its constant brutal oppression!
“God Less America,” I issue a call to action for people of faith – to stand up and fight back. Religious liberty is under attack
Your religious freedom is under violent attack! We're not being allowed to spread our doctrine to every facet of society as quickly as we should be! The next crusade has begun! >Christianity being oppressed AYY LMAO I lost more IQ points than I care to admit reading that article. America has a very, very long way to go.

I would like to see some other religious organizations placing their holy books in hotel rooms. Maybe they'd start removing each others holy texts and there would be a hotel jihad.
-
4 RepliesI'm the sort of person that doesn't take sides. I'm more of a philosopher.

I don't even know what this is about. ._.
-
Im pretty sure the only reason why they banned the bible is because theres other religions in the military. The other religious people might get offended by this and want to ban the book.
FYI I have no religion and I'm completely fine with the bible being back in the navy.
-
TBH, I don't see what the problem is. I wouldn't mind if they had texts of other religions available other than the bible.

Edited by FalkenHunter705: 8/17/2014 4:20:50 PMThe FFRF is a bunch of immature, self-important asshats. That's coming from an atheist, mind you. Though I disagree with the FFRF completely here, I also can't stand the argument that Fox is giving from the other side of the argument. I mean, it reads like something from EWTN:
God's Word

the godless crowd

In my new book, “God Less America,” I issue a call to action for people of faith – to stand up and fight back. Religious liberty is under attack – and the atheists are specifically targeting Christians.
This is precisely why it's so hard to be a nonreligious conservative in American politics. You get caught in this limbo between the religious right and the socialist left, and find yourself being poorly represented by both sides' political agendas. It isn't fixed by the Libertarian Party because the voting age is 18 (kek), and when you agree with everyone you get votes from no one. TL;DR: I don't like either side of this argument because they're both butthurt.
