They would own the IP behind the designs, yes. I'm sure something could be worked on out of court that if they did sell his designs on a shirt, he would get a percentage as the original artist. sort of. I'm sure that if they took him to court or vice versa, it wouldn't turn out nice for him, and it would be bad press for Activision. Not exactly what they need right now. Who knows? Maybe they'll even endorse his plan and give proceeds to charity. IIRC, the original idea behind these shirts was to sell them mostly at cost and anything above and beyond would be donated anyways?
