Not trying to defend Activision or anything, but sometimes corporations have to stuff like this even if they don't want to. Not sending a cease and desist would set a precedent that could later be referenced in the defense of someone profiting off the infringement of Activision/Bungie's IP. Bethesda had to do something similar 2(?) years ago. It's more of a preventative measure than anything. Sucks. That was some cool stuff and for a good cause.
